Jos Buttler was the star of the match. He scored an unbeaten 97 runs and almost reached his eighth IPL century. Even though he missed the mark by just three runs, his innings was amazing. He hit Delhi’s bowlers all over the park, including five fours in a single over from Mitchell Starc. The game ended with Rahul Tewatia hitting two fours in a row to seal the win.
Delhi Capitals had scored 203/8 after batting first. Axar Patel played a steady knock of 39 runs from 32 balls. Ashutosh Sharma added quick runs at the end with 37 off 19 balls. Prasidh Krishna was the best bowler for GT. He took 4 wickets for 41 runs and dismissed key players like Karun Nair at important times.
DC started strongly. Karun Nair and Abishek Porel added 73 runs in the first six overs. Nair scored a fast 31 off 18 balls. But after he got out to Krishna, the momentum shifted. Rahul and Axar kept the scoreboard moving, but Krishna took two more important wickets, which slowed DC down. Ashutosh Sharma’s late hitting helped them pass 200.
GT’s chase was solid from the start. Jos Buttler showed great timing and placement. Sai Sudharsan helped with a quick 36 from 21 balls. Buttler hit two sixes in a row off Vipraj, which became a turning point. Although GT lost Shubman Gill early to a direct hit from Nair, they stayed on track.
