Lahore Qalandars won the toss and chose to bat first. They scored 175 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. The team started well, but they could not score quickly in the final overs. Some players got good starts, but no one could play a big inning to take the total past 180.
Peshawar Zalmi came out to chase the target of 176 runs with confidence. Their captain, Babar Azam, played a brilliant innings and scored a half-century. He was calm and in control, guiding his team throughout the chase. With help from other batters, Zalmi reached the target in just 18.3 overs, finishing at 176 for 3.
This win gave Peshawar Zalmi their third victory in the tournament. They now have a stronger position on the points table and look like one of the top teams in the competition.
For Lahore Qalandars, the season has been very disappointing so far. This was their sixth straight loss, and they are yet to win a match in PSL 2025. Their bowlers couldn’t stop the Zalmi batters, and their batting line-up didn’t do enough to defend the total.
Peshawar Zalmi will be happy with their performance, especially with the way their captain is leading the team. Lahore Qalandars, on the other hand, need to work hard if they want to turn their season around.
